As a freebie at fitness club I belong to, I had a nutrition consult last week. She suggested I add more protein to my morning meals. Of course she suggested adding protein powder to my daily green smoothie, but I can’t seem to choke down the texture of any brand that I’ve tried. So, she suggested another great choice was full fat greek yogurt. I do love adding yogurt to my smoothies…it makes them so creamy. Add a banana to the mix and you have a smooooooth green smoothie. 🙂 I was feeling tropical so I threw in some coconut, too. Let me just say the result was yum.
Banana Coconut Green Smoothie
A filling breakfast that will jumpstart your day with protein, fiber, and vitamins.
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 /2 cup greek yogurt
- 1 banana
- 1 green apple
- 2 Tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
